Company History

Portage Printing was founded in 1986 py Craig Vestal who began learning his trade printing tacky cocktail napkins at a local factory. Originally located in the Portage Plaza on South Westnedge, they relocated to West Centre Avenue in 1992, taking over the former Mobile Carpet Hut.
Our lobby boasts an 1885 Letterpress, 1921 Barber Chair, 1955 Coke Machine and a 1963 Pinball machine — all working and available free for customer’s amusement. Their exterior neon signs were salvaged from the “Rest Well Motel” and the “Riviera Diner”.
The shop’s mascot delivery vehicles include a 1949 Crosley, a 1978 Cushman and a 1993 Chevy Box Van, which are parked out front on nice days.
The “Cool Print Shop of the World” produces business cards, forms, envelopes, newsletters, posters, tickets, postcards, stickers, and much more for hundreds of area businesses and organizations. They “Specialize in Impossible
Deadlines”.
The shop has won 20 international industry awards for printing quality and marketing innovation.
